The President of China, Xi Jinping congratulated the team on the successful launch of the core module of China’s space station. In his message, he stated that the successful launch of the core module marks that the space station construction has entered the full implementation stage. It further lays a solid foundation for follow-up tasks.

China launched its heaviest rocket ever to build its own space station in space on April 28 from the Tianhe space station. 

The team operating the rocket lost control of it due to some defects. Now in such a situation the March 5B rocket is coming towards the earth at flood speed and could crash anywhere on the earth. 

This is the main part of the rocket, called the core. It weighs about 21 tons i.e. 19 thousand 50 kg and is over 100 feet in length. 

This unmanned rocket could enter Earth's atmosphere on Saturday, May 8.

On Wednesday, the Education Department stated that the summer vacations for schools will start from 3rd May. All the schools will remain closed till 6th June. The new academic session will commence in June after the summer vacation gets over. Earlier, the notification released on 4th February and 23rd March stated that the academic session will commence from June to April as followed by the Central Board of Secondary Education. 

In fact, state education minister Bhupendrasih Chudasama told TOI that it has been decided not to give the conventional 35 days of summer vacation at the end of the academic year 2020-21. “We have decided not to declare 35-day long summer vacation. The summer break will most likely be only for a week,” Chudasama said. The decision will be binding to schools all boards.

School managements have largely welcomed the decision. “We had requested the state government to curtail the long summer break. A 35-daybreak is not needed at a time when students have largely remained at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The summer vacations for schools in Gujarat have been declared from May 3 till June 6. The new academic session will start in June after the summer vacations, the education department’s order said on Wednesday.
